International road criminal crackdown

Police across 12 countries are carrying out Trivium 5, an operation targeting foreign criminals. Coordinated by TISPOL, the mission aims to detect and deter criminals who use the road network to conduct their illegal activities. It is supported by every police force in England and Wales. Officers will have immediate access to intelligence sharing and translation services via a European Operations Command Centre (EOCC) at West Midlands Police in Birmingham. Similar operations will run in seven other countries (Ireland, Latvia, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Romania). Additionally, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Sweden have just concluded a specific Baltic Trivium operation.
