IN PICTURES: Edwards Coaches’ centenary celebrations
In celebration of Edwards Coaches’ centenary, the operator held a well organised depot open day for families and fans.
Visitors were attracted to a wide variety of partner and charity stands together with vehicle displays and the opportunity to take local trips on modern and heritage vehicles.
Among the visiting vehicles was a 1982 Volvo Ailsa now domiciled in the West Midlands that Edwards operated in the noughties after its first service life in Cardiff. Blanking out the front window(s) was seen as a way of reducing misbehaviour on school contracts. It is posed alongside Edwards’ Red Dragon Neoplan Starliner 2 for an image reflected in the remains of the morning rain.
