HSBC leasing enables 25 electric deckers for London

London General Transport Services (LGTS), part of the Go-Ahead Group, has added 25 electric BYD ADL Enviro400 EV double-deckers tp its fleet using a £10m sustainable leasing package from HSBC Equipment Finance (UK) Ltd.

The support from HSBC UK has allowed the Go-Ahead Group to invest in greener transport, expanding the Group’s electric bus fleet to over 100 vehicles. The buses feature iron phosphate batteries that deliver 345 kWh of power and can run for up to 190 miles of typical urban driving, according to their manufacturer. They can carry up to 81 passengers and take four hours to recharge overnight.
