Horseman drives Panthers

UK Coach Operator of the Year 2019, Horseman Coaches has added two Plaxton Panthers to its fleet. The Reading-based operator anticipates delivery of a further three Plaxtons before the end of the year, all of which will be 57-seat Leopards.

Director, James Horseman, said: “Our new Panthers are both 12.8m 61-seat models with CCTV, wood-effect flooring, DVD system, USB chargers, powered parallel lift-lockers, real-time tracking and telematics. They have D8K engines and I-Shift transmissions, a combination which has proved to be a winner for us. Add to this the stylish interior and exterior finish and it’s easy to see why the Plaxton range is a market leader in the UK.

“All of our new coaches are ULEZ compliant, which is a critical factor as we do a lot of business in London and across the South of England. They also form part of our long-range investment in fleet modernisation and underpin our determination to remain at the forefront of the transport sector.

“Business success, of course, is dependent on many aspects, not least of all partnerships and in that respect our relationship with Plaxton is second to none, hence we have Cheetah XL, Leopard, Elite and Panther models in our fleet, having bought around 40 Scarborough-built vehicles in recent years.”
