Hollinshead Coaches take Volvo Jonckheere

Hollinshead Coaches has taken delivery of a Jonckheere bodied Volvo B11R. The coach has 53 seats, an entertainment package and a D11C 11-litre 450hp engine coupled to a Volvo I-Shift gearbox. It is being used for tours, private hire and the operator’s corporate clients.

Hollinshead Coaches’ MD, Stephen Haydon, said, ‘We’ve had many years operating Volvos and we like and trust them. We had two fundamental requirements with our new coach. It had to be as economic on fuel as possible and we also specifically wanted a vehicle with 53 seats plus centre demountable toilet. Volvo Bus once again met our exacting requirements and we’re very pleased with the new vehicle. Another factor in our decision was the re-assurance of the back-up and support we receive from The Hartshorne Group and our contact there Bob Phillips. They’ve always been superb.’
