Go-Ahead’s ‘significant and successful year’

A ‘significant and successful’ year is how Go-Ahead described its performance in the past 12 months ended 28 June 2014. Having won the UK’s largest rail franchise, the operator also reported good progress towards its goal of a bus operating profit of £100m by 2015/16. Group revenue was up to £2,702.4m (2013: 2,571.8m) and operating profit was £103.2m (2013: £86.7m).
Go-Ahead’s bus operations generated revenue of £800.5m (2013: £761.5m) and an operating profit of £83.5m (2013: £75.2m). Its deregulated bus division achieved revenue of £350.8m (2013: £337.6m), with operating profit of £41.9m (2013: £36.4m). Revenue in its regulated bus operations grew to £449.7m (2013: 423.9m), with operating profit of £41.6m (2013: £38.8m).
