Go-Ahead choses Autoglym for cleaning products
Go-Ahead has chosen Autoglym Connect as its official supply partner for vehicle cleaning products. The agreement includes all 26 individual Go-Ahead operating companies, including Go-Ahead London, the capital’s largest bus operator that serves over a quarter of the city’s buses.
As part of the new partnership, over 120 of Go-Ahead’s depots across the UK and Ireland will now use Autoglym Connect, Autoglym’s dedicated public service vehicle product range, to clean and maintain over 6,000 buses across its fleet.
Go-Ahead’s decision to use Autoglym was made in order to greatly improve the appearance of its fleet, and is part of the ‘Go-Ahead Way’ scheme, a group-wide effort to ensure consistent vehicle standards and improve the passenger experience. Key objectives of this scheme include the protection of Go-Ahead’s valuable vehicle assets, and ensuring that whenever people get onto a bus it is clean and inviting.
A detailed, standardised cleaning regime for every vehicle in the Go-Ahead fleet has been created and implemented. Autoglym has also provided product training and familiarisation sessions for cleaning teams, installed chemical dosing equipment to control costs, advised on how to reduce manual handling to improve cleaning team safety, and created clear process boards for teams to follow.
The Go-Ahead fleet now benefits from daily and monthly cleaning regimes, including a deep clean every three months to ensure the best possible passenger experience on every journey. Autoglym Connect Diamond Shine, Express Wash and Super Clean Sanitiser are the core products used by Go-Ahead to deliver a safe and powerful clean.
