First Glasgow Inspectors receive conflict training

Revenue Inspectors from First Glasgow have completed a refresher course with conflict avoidance specialist trainers, SALVAS, to help them carry out their duties more safely and efficiently. The two-day course was held at the company’s Caledonia Depot by SALVAS Director, Mike Greville. The course was tailored to keeping inspectors and the travelling public safe by underlining the importance of employing conflict avoidance techniques.

Service Provision Reliability Manager for First Glasgow, George McLeod, who took part in the training and worked with SALVAS to tailor the course to the company’s needs said, ‘This course has helped us all do our job more effectively and safely. That means a better service for our customers and more effective revenue protection for the company. It has been invaluable for our inspectors who deal with a wide variety of potentially challenging situations and it should be the benchmark for training for all similar staff throughout the industry.’
