Finch joins PM for signing

National Express Group CEO, Dean Finch, joined Prime Minister David Cameron at 10 Downing Street to help officially announce the first 50 companies signing up to a flagship policy, encouraging UK businesses to support the Armed Forces. The operator has been chosen thanks to a wide-ranging military support package rolled out across its UK coach, bus and rail operations. The first to sign the Covenant, the transport provider has pledged to support the Armed Forces, their families and veterans and is calling on other companies to do the same.

National Express Group pledges include guaranteed interviews with its coach, bus and rail business to personnel leaving the Armed Forces who meet basic criteria. Others include ten extra days annual leave to help employees serving in the Reserve Forces meet training requirements without sacrificing their holidays, as well as business-specific travel discounts. A host of other commitments are also on offer across its transport operations, including free travel on National Express West Midlands buses for families visiting injured personnel being treated at Birmingham’s military hospital.
