Coach TV campaign launches

An advert promoting the coach industry is now appearing on television screens.

The campaign, called ‘Get Back On Board’, aims to promote travelling by coach around the UK and highlights the benefits of coach travel more widely without focusing on a particular operator or region. It has been funded by coach operators including CPT members, CPT and CoachMarque with an advertising agency contracted to coordinate the campaign.

The idea for the campaign was the brainchild of Candice Mason of Masons Coaches. Her goal was to promote the coach industry’s offerings as a whole following the damage the lack of custom brought about by the pandemic has caused. The aim was for individual operators and other industry professionals to contribute to the cost of the campaign. A marketing company was involved to design the advertising strategy.

After the initial call for support fell short of the target, the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) rekindled the project.

The advert can be viewed here.

The campaign also sees a social media initiative using the hashtag #getbackonboard.
