Citybus to expand with Enviro400s

Plymouth Citybus is to launch a new service between Plymouth and Tavistock via Yelverton, travelling through Dartmoor. It starts on 5 October. The Go-Ahead Group company has invested £1m in four high specification Enviro400 double deckers with additional legroom and incorporate two tone leather seats and free Wi-Fi for the route. They will also be the first vehicles to feature the operator’s new premium brand, which will be unveiled on 28 September, on the Civic Piazza in Plymouth city centre. The route will operate up to every 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday and will also run on a Sunday.

Plymouth Citybus’ MD, Richard Stevens, said, ‘People in Tavistock have requested a Citybus provided service, which we are please to respond to. Knowing that comfort and reliability are the two most important factors on longer bus journeys, the introduction of high specification buses with good quality seats and internet access is a perfect solution.’
