City Sightseeing Moscow merges

An agreement has been signed for a new strategic partnership between the Russian office of City Sightseeing Worldwide and the Moscow based Capital River Boat Tour Company. The concerns intend to implement a joint tour excursion operation on boats and double decker buses, which is thought to be the largest city tour program in the Russian Federation. Under the agreement, City Sightseeing has acquired four buses from ‘Capital River Boat Tour Company’ and transferred its two ships to them. As a result of the exchange the joint program will have 15 buses and 40 boats in Moscow. All 15 buses, as well as three of the ships, will be branded as City Sightseeing Moscow, the remaining 37 ships will be carrying a City Sightseeing Partner logo. The entire fleet of double deckers and at least 15 ships will be equipped with multilingual audio guides. The two companies will also unite their distribution network for ticket sales. Capital River Boat Tour Company is the oldest and largest water transportation carrier in the Moscow region and was founded by Stalin in 1933.
