Chalkwell’s ticket trade in

Chalkwell is offering season ticket holders on other coaches, as well as the train, nine weeks free travel if they want to change and trade in their existing season tickets. The offer from Chalkwell is for anyone wanting to purchase their annual GoCard, a smartcard ticketing system introduced on their weekday services into London.

Commercial Director, Roland Eglinton, said, ‘We know commuters get tied into long term arrangements by buying season tickets and sometimes that is a barrier to switching providers. Commuters can save a lot of money by travelling with us, but some other providers have refund policies which are not conducive to moving around. We will help them with an extension of nine weeks travel to offset any penalty clauses they may have. If people are thinking of giving us a try and they have an existing annual, four week or monthly ticket with the rail or another coach operator, they can fill in a form, scan their existing rail/coach ticket, attach it and we will send them a free ten journey GoCard. In the event of there being four to nine weeks left on their ticket we will add the extra time onto the end of their annual GoCard. We are three months into the launch of GoCard and are really committed to the concept which is automated and seamless. This particularly suits people who only travel to work in London three or four days a week. GoCard resonates with their lifestyle.
