Bus and coach collide

An Arriva bus and a white coach have collided in Loughborough.

Police officers were called just after 5.30pm on 27 April to a report of an accident on the A512 Ashby Road. Images of the crash posted on the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Shepshed Station show the front of the bus torn away, while the side of the coach had been smashed.

The driver of the bus sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. A passenger on the bus sustained minor injuries. The coach driver was not injured and there were no passengers travelling on the coach.
