Boxing Day first for Reading Buses

Reading Buses has announced that for the first time on Boxing Day its Green Line 702 service will run from Reading all day. The service provides a fast, direct link to Slough and London.

While the route normally runs between Windsor and London, on Boxing Day it will provide a fast service between Reading and Slough, with guaranteed connections to Windsor available in Slough using Reading Buses other Green Line service, the 703.

“With the traditional railway shutdown on Boxing Day we thought this was a great opportunity to help keep people connected” – Robert Williams, Chief Executive Officer

Robert Williams, Chief Executive Officer, said: “With the traditional railway shutdown on Boxing Day we thought this was a great opportunity to help keep people connected. Adult returns from Reading to London are only £21 and group tickets for any four travelling together are just £55 on-bus or £44 on our Green Line mobile app.”

Always good to see new initiatives. This year, of course, far fewer shops than in recent times will be open, so I would predict a lot less people out and about.
