Arriva launches Lizzy’s gold bus

Arriva Southern Counties has unveiled a gold painted Dennis Dart Plaxton Pointer to congratulate Winter Olympics gold medallist Lizzy Yarnold. The bus is in use on service 478, that links Lizzy’s home village of West Kingsdown with Farningham, Eynsford and Swanley. Lizzy was unable to attend the launch, but left a message thanking the local community for the support it gave her during her time at Sochi. Lizzy’s father, Clive, joined the operator for the launch. According to Arriva’s Regional Publicity Manager, Richard Lewis, the company has had some ‘great comments’ on the single decker in response to postings on social media.
