Abellio extends Oyster price match ticket

Abellio Surrey has extended the use of its ‘Oyster Match’ ticket to Kingston and Esher. The ticket is already proving highly popular with users of Abellio Surrey’s 458 and 459 services between the two places. Statistics show that over the same weeks this year compared to 2014, Oyster Match tickets nearly trebled on the 458 service and almost quadrupled on the 459. The ticket is the operator’s equivalent to TfL’s Oyster card, but operates differently. Passengers with an Oyster card can show the card to the driver to be eligible for the discount and pay the driver £1.50, which means that travel is the same price as Oyster customers of TfL pay.
