Chandlers opts for an Irizar i6S
A new Irizar Integral i6S Efficient luxury touring coach has been delivered to family-run operator, Chandlers Coach Travel.
The 12.9m coach seats up to 57 passengers on i6 seats with side laterals, piping and headrests trimmed in synthetic leather. It is powered by a DAF MX-11 300 403hp engine, coupled to ZF’s EcoLife Coachline six-speed fully automatic gearbox.
Each passenger benefits from seat-back tables and USB charging points supplied to each pair of seats. Other passenger amenities include a toilet located in the central stairwell and a drinks machine. The driver and courier seats are trimmed to match the saloon in full leather for style and durability.
Onboard entertainment is provided by the Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system partnered with an Actia DVD player and two monitors located to the front and centre of the vehicle.
PSVAR provision has been specified on the i6.
The new touring coach supplied with the Irizar digital camera mirror system, and LED exterior lighting. Chandlers established livery has been applied at the Irizar factory prior to handover.
The new Irizar has been named for Edward James, grandson of founder Margaret I’Anson. Margaret established Chandlers Coach Travel based in Westbury, Wiltshire in 1991 and is now joined in the management of the business by her son Jack.
