Malta Public Transport is responsible for operating the national bus service covering over 30 million kilometres annually with a fleet of over 360 buses which is set o increase this year. The company employs over 1200 people and is currently in the process of implementing a number of measurements aimed at improving the overall efficiency and reliability of the bus service. A D licence is required to become a bus driver. Applicants who are not in possession of a D licence will be given the required training.
