156 Scanias for Berlin

Scania Germany has received an order for 156 Scania Citywide articulated buses from Berlin transport company Berliner Verkehrsgesellschaft (BVG). The city buses will be delivered during the period of 2014-2017. The 18m vehicles are fitted with air conditioning systems and 320hp Euro6 engines matched to automatic transmissions. The saloon on each features two multi-function compartments, especially designed for mobility impaired passengers’ comfort. Director of Sales Buses, Scania Germany Austria, Frank Koschatzky, said, ‘The low floor articulated buses are distinguished by their overall concept in which the predictable maintenance costs and good fuel economy are the focus.’
