Van Hool quality ‘shines through’ for Eavesway

Wigan-based Eavesway Travel has received its first Van Hool T15 Acron, which was collected from VDL Van Hool Barnsley yesterday (2 October 2024).

The new coach is the first of three similar T series coaches due to enter the fleet. The second, an identical T15, is due late November and the third, a T17 Astron to VIP specification, is expected to arrive in early spring 2025.

“Despite all the problems of administration and delays, which we have all had to endure, the Van Hool quality still shines through,” said Mike Eaves, Director at Eavesway Travel.

The two T15 two-axle Acrons are predominantly for use on the operator’s Cruiselink network but, with a much higher specification,

including rear servery area and only 44 seats with enhanced seat pitch, they will also undertake a significant amount of private hire work.

The tri-axle T17 Astron will be to full VIP Team coach specification. “Its arrival is eagerly awaited by our clients,” said Mike.
