UrbanThings adds mobile ticketing to UK Bus Checker

Transport tickets can now be purchased using UrbanThings’ UK Bus Checker app.

Now in its tenth year, the app has had its latest version introduced, which includes ticketing, multi-modal journey planning and RTI, as well as user interface enhancements.

Reading Buses, Midland Classic and Hattons Travel are among the first operators to retail their mobile tickets in the app adding a new revenue stream to their business, with more in the pipeline for early 2022. Bus Checker will also complete its integration of UK Bus Open Data Service (BODS) in the coming months.
