‘On the Yorkshire Buses’ on TV

‘On the Yorkshire Buses’, a documentary series looking at East Yorkshire Motor Services (EYMS), starts on 7 July on Channel 5. The eight part series looks at the staff in what has been described as Britain’s biggest family run bus company. It was described by the channel as ‘…a warm portrait of our 21st Century nation in the bus lane offering a comic and sometimes touching insight into life on Yorkshire’s buses with drivers and controllers who always go the extra mile however bumpy the ride’. Episode one covers the summer holidays period, with staff taking annual leave creating a shortage of drivers.
