Steels Coaches of Addingham adds Irizar i6 integral

Steels Coaches of Addingham has added a 12.9m Irizar i6 Integral to its fleet. The coach has been equipped with 59 seats and has the usual i6 integral specifications, such as a fridge, a reversing camera, a climate control system, a ZF AS-Tronic automated gearbox and an iPod . It will be put to work across the operator’s range of operations including its own tour programme, corporate and private hire.

Steels is not unfamiliar with Irizar coaches, having owned one of the very first UK Irizar Centurys in the 1990s. Steels Transport Manager, Matthew Steel, said, ‘We went to the Irizar factory back then so it was great to return to Spain and see that Irizar has come on in leaps and bounds. We’re confident that the marque will be around for a very long time in the UK, so it has been great to re-establish ourselves with the Irizar team once more. The i6 really creates an impression and has a touch of class. It’s a real head-turner, and already has received warm compliments which is pleasing.’

The coach was supplied by Irizar UK and is the first DAF for the Yorkshire operator.
