Souter Investments strengthens team

Stagecoach founder Sir Brian Souter’s family investment office, Souter Investments, has recruited two investment executives. Keith Barclay joins from Blas, the Edinburgh based corporate finance advisory boutique. He is a qualified lawyer having previously worked for Shepherd & Wedderburn. Maurice Shamash joins from Lloyds Banking Group where he was an Assistant Manager with responsibility for Equity Portfolio Management. These appointments take the Souter Investments team to eight executives, plus Sir Brian himself. The company’s most recent development was a £10m investment in 30 Van Hools for its PolskiBus intercity coach operation in Poland.
