Scania Irizar trio for Princess

Princess Coaches Ltd of Southampton has taken delivery of three Scania Irizar i6 coaches. Two of them are the 13.9m variant, on Scania’s K400 6×2*4 chassis, with the third being based on a 12.2m K400 4×2 chassis. All three have been built to executive specification and feature Scania’s 13litre 400hp Euro5 engines and fully automated Scania Opticruise gear selection systems. Both body types have been specified with rear second entrances and floor mounted washrooms, which

create extra luggage space between the axles to accommodate the luggage requirements of the cruise line operations these coaches will be used for. Supported by Scania Southwest in Fareham, the vehicles benefit from the Scania two year repair and maintenance programme.

Princess Coaches MD, Pete Brown, said, ‘Our customer feedback for the Scania Irizar i6 has been fantastic. From an operating point, we benefit from a superb local dealership and back up from the Scania network. We now operate 16 Scania Irizar coaches with a further order being placed for the 2014 season.’
