Scania expands in Thailand

Scania is expanding its industrial and commercial presence in Thailand. It has identified the country as one of the key markets in Asia. A new assembly facility for bus chassis and trucks is due to be established in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region, supporting production, logistics and purchasing as well as research and development. The total investment is €21.2m/£18.7m, with operations scheduled to start in 2018. Regional headquarters are to be established in Thailand to support Scania’s distributors in Asia and Oceania in developing business in their markets.
