Ryan Perry passes test at 18

Bus and Coach Buyer has been informed about what could be the youngest PCV Cat D licence holder in the industry. Ryan Perry, the son of David Perry, owner of Perrys Travel in Malton, passed his test five weeks after his 18th birthday. David said that from a very early age, he has had an interest in his family’s coaches. He is currently at a sixth form college, studying Business Studies, German and IT. Ryan said, ‘I’m pleased to have passed my driving test and looking forward to gaining some experience, I appreciate all the help and support I have been given.’

David said, ‘Coaches have been a big part of his life and he is still pretty enthusiastic about them. His interest is music though, he is a good musician. He has been involved with a sixth form play, working on the backstage sound. There’s a lot of opportunities out there for young people these days and he is a bright lad.’
