Roads closed to coaches in central Amsterdam

Amsterdam has alerted coach operators that a ban is now in force on coaches using some roads in the city centre. The affected routes are Amstel-Rokin-Damrak and the southern part of the Spuistraat/ Nieuwezjids Voorburgwal, in the inner city area. These pass, among other attractions, the Amsterdam Dungeon, Madame Tussauds, Amsterdam Museum and the Sex Museum. These changes to the permitted routes for coaches in Amsterdam have already been introduced and further changes affecting coaches will be implemented from the start of 2018.

The routes affected can be seen marked in red on the map at https://goo.gl/mbSjzP

In January 2018, a Low Emissions zone is to be implemented and further closures will result. Only vehicles first registered after Jan 1 2005 will be permitted; older vehicles are not permitted and there is no daily charge fee which can be paid to enter with these vehicles.
