Richard Armitage’s Lifetime Achievement Award

MD of the Richard Armitage Transport Consultancy and Chairman of the TAS Partnership, Richard Armitage CMILT, has won the PTRC Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 Transport Practitioners’ Meeting Awards. Richard earned the accolade for his work in developing local community transport schemes since the 1970s, as well as what the judging panel called his ‘infectious enthusiasm’ for good local transport planning and provision. His award was presented by Steve Agg, Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).

PTRC is a training and events staging specialist, providing a range of technical courses designed to appeal to newer engineers, planners and technicians. The 2013 Transport Practitioners’ Meeting Awards were presented to top transport planners across the UK in recognition of their work in proposing, planning and developing schemes that improve local transport provision, enhance the built environment or contribute to local socio-economic well being. This year’s event was held at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham.
