Rally and Awards go solo

Organisers of this year’s combined UK Coach Awards and Rally have decided to split the two events into separate occasions for 2014. Next year is the Rally’s Diamond Jubilee and the milestone event will take place at Alton Towers Resort over the weekend of 10 and 11 May.

UK Coach Rally Chairman, Stephen Telling, said, ‘The combined Coach Rally and Awards weekend this year was a great success, but as next year is our Diamond Jubilee and a real landmark in our history, an agreement could not be made that allowed the Rally to celebrate in a style that befits this major anniversary. The UK Coach Rally team would like to express their thanks for the opportunity to work with the UKCA in 2013 and wish them every success in their future events.’ According to UK Coach Awards Chairman, Allan Edmondson, ‘it has not been possible to agree a format which suits both parties’.
