Norfolk Green to become Stagecoach Norfolk

Stagecoach has confirmed that from 1 May 2015, Norfolk Green will become part of Stagecoach East and trade as Stagecoach Norfolk. Stagecoach took over the previously independent operation in December 2013. The Kings Lynn based company runs commercial, tendered and school bus services, employing around 160 people. Its network covers Norfolk and parts of Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. It was taken over from Ben Colson, who retired from the industry. On shifting to its new owners, it was run seperately from the rest of Stagecoach’s operations, managed by Gary Nolan, Regional Director North, Stagecoach UK Bus. On acquiring the company, Stagecoach said in a press statement that the addition of the business would complement its existing bus operations in the east of England. Norfolk Green was originally started in 1996 with a fleet of six buses.
