New Wales Bus Operations Advisor

Richard Jones has been appointed by the Welsh Government as the Wales Bus Operations Advisor. Richard started his career in transport with Crosville before moving on to Gwynedd County Council/Gwynedd Council as their Senior Public Transport Officer for nearly fifteen years. Following this he became the General Manager at Machynlleth based Lloyds Coaches, where he won industry awards and industry recognition. He then moved to Penygroes based Express Motors as its General Manager.

Richard said, ‘I am looking forward very much towards the new appointment. Public transport is vital in maintaining economic growth in Wales, however changes are presently taking place to the industry and I hope from my own background, knowledge and experience in the industry I will be able to contribute positively to the future shape of transport in Wales.’
