New Vantage service

From 29 January, First Manchester is to add a new Vantage route to the services it operates on Manchester’s guided busway, which was launched in April 2016. The new V3 Vantage service will run hourly every day, between Manchester Royal Infirmary and Leigh. The V1 and V2 Vantage services will continue, but there will be minor changes to the timetable to allow them more time to complete their journeys during peak times.

The new V3 will run along the four and a half mile traffic free guided busway, with stops including the East Lancs Road Park and Ride, University of Salford and Salford Crescent Railway Station. It then follows Princess Street, Portland Street and Oxford Street to reach Oxford Road and the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Head of Commercial at First Manchester, Ian Humphreys, said, ‘The V3 service will be run with the same premium Vantage vehicles, which means you can travel in style with E-Leather seating, free Wi-Fi, next stop audio and visual announcements, luxury seats, tables upstairs and USB charging points.’
