New CEO at EvoBus (UK)

EvoBus (UK) has announced the appointment of Michael Thielmann as CEO and Managing Director with effect from 1 June 2014. Michael is currently responsible for Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmBH. Since joining Daimler Buses in 1993, he has held a variety of senior management positions in sales and after sales including experience of the Far East right hand drive markets.

Interim CEO and Managing Director, Mike Beagrie, who has been with EvoBus (UK) since 2002 has personally decided the time is right to step down and will leave the company at the end of July allowing for a smooth transition of responsibility. During his time at EvoBus (UK), Mike’s roles have included Director Coach Sales and General Manager Setra Sales.

Also from 1 June, Marcus Watts, currently Director Mercedes-Benz Bus Sales at EvoBus (UK) will take responsibility for all bus, coach and minibus sales as Director Mercedes-Benz Sales. EvoBus (UK) have written to customers assuring them that it will be ‘business as usual’ during the transition period.
