NCT invests £3m in Turquoise route

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has invested £3m in its Turquoise Line number 78 and 79 services with 15 new ADL Enviro400 bodied Scania double deckers. They feature audio/visual announcement systems, real time technology, interior green mood lighting and free Wi-Fi. Planned to be in operation by early October, they bring the total number of new double deckers bought in the last 18 months to 62.

NCT Marketing Manager, Anthony Carver-Smith, said, ‘The latest double decks on the Turquoise line include a new style front destination display which is in white text. These are sharper and more easily read, particularly in difficult lighting conditions, so ideal just as the nights are about to draw in. Our aim is to continually improve services for our customers. And we recognise that investing in newer, more comfortable, technologically-advanced buses will play a big part in ensuring their journey experience is a positive one.’
