Mercedes-Benz Future Bus

Mercedes-Benz has presented its Future Bus, a technology platform intended to ‘set a milestone’ on the way to autonomous and accident free driving. The system includes CityPilot, which is able to recognise traffic lights, communicate with them and safely negotiate junctions controlled by them. It is also designed to recognise obstacles and brake autonomously. It approaches bus stops automatically, where it opens and closes its doors, as well as being able to drive through tunnels.
