Kings Ferry’s record breaking demand

Gillingham based The Kings Ferry has revealed that millions of pounds worth of investment has helped it on the road to a record year. The operator claims it is on the way to an unprecedented 12 months in terms of demand for its London bound commuter services. Its passenger journeys have risen by over 10% since 2011 with tens of thousands of extra journeys made in 2014. Other highlights of last year included winning multiple industry awards, the launch of a new park and ride facility and the first full year of operation of a new commuter service in the West Country. Launched 30 years ago, the Kings Ferry coach service consists of 36 daily coaches to central London from Medway, Sittingbourne and the Isle of Sheppey. It regularly makes well over half a million passenger journeys a year.

Kings Ferry MD, Ian Fraser, said, ‘Nothing is more important to us than our customers and it is hugely pleasing that this year we’ve run more coaches than at any other time in our 30 year history. We are committed to continued investment in our services – and our customers – in 2015 and we’d like to thank our loyal customers old and new for choosing to travel with us.’
