Keolis acquires Transport Daniel Meyers

The French transport provider, Keolis Group, has acquired the French operator, Transports Daniel Meyer. The latter runs buses and coaches under two operational companies, SAS Transports Daniel Meyer and SAS Ormont Transports. It serves a wide territory in the Essonne/Val de Marne basin, through its main operations in Montlhéry, Etampes and Avrainville. With 440 employees and a fleet of 260 vehicles, the Group generated €40.4m/£30.79m in revenue in 2014. Its main activity is the operation of around 50 bus and coach lines, supplemented by school and school related transport, together with employee and occasional transport services. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Keolis’ presence in Greater Paris, where demand for public transport is growing steadily. Keolis reported €400m/£304.89m in revenue in 2015 and manages a fleet of 1,900 vehicles operating from 25 depots.

Executive Director France for Keolis, Frédéric Baverez, said, ‘This is a strategic operation for the Group, especially in light of the upcoming Grand Paris projects scheduled in the north of Essonne. We are hoping to spearhead the continued growth of a company which already has an excellent reputation, and offer the Greater Paris Transport Authority (STIF) and local municipalities Keolis’ expertise in inter-modality and modal development.’
