Hamilton’s cease trading

St Austell based Hamilton’s Coach Holidays has ceased trading. It was reported in local media that Brexit, terrorism and his recent divorce, as well as competition from cruise companies, were factors in owner, David Hamilton’s decision to close the operation.

A statement issued by David said: “It is with great sadness and deep regret that David Hamilton has ceased trading. The business had one or two problems but was viable. These were in the process of being sorted. But due to the media hounding, the BBC, ITV, radio and the papers and people on social media, this caused a mass panic. I have now been left with no options.

“I am truly sorry it has come to this and I apologise to my customers who have been caught up in this trail by media. Everyone who had booked with me has been sent a letter explaining. The administrator will be in touch with you shortly. Please accept my sincere apologies for all of this. I do hope you remember the good times you had with Hamilton’s and that we created some nice lasting memories for you. I will miss you all. I thank you for your custom. I wish you all the best for the future. Sincere apologies.”
