Geldards fire

A fire at Geldards Coaches’ depot at Ashfield Way in Leeds broke out on 6 August 2015, West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service receiving the first of a number of calls to the blaze at 15.03. The fire involved a two storey building and a number of buses and coaches. The building contained several gas cylinders and a diesel storage tank, which presented extra hazards to fire crews tackling the flames. Early indications were that the cause of the fire was accidental, although the investigation was ongoing at the time of going to press. No one from Geldards Coaches was available to comment when contacted by B&CB.
