FTA Everywoman finalists announced

A number of professionals from the PCV sector have been listed as finalists in the FTA Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards. This is the ninth year of the programme, which celebrates women in the transport industry. The awards ceremony takes place on 26 May at the Hilton on London’s Park Lane. Coaching Team Leader at Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company, Rachel Beckett, has been nominated in the rising Star of the Year award. First Glasgow’s Fleet Support Engineer, Wendy Findlay, is up for the Team Leader of the Year title, as is Go-Ahead London General Manager, Hannah Self. Oxford Bus Company Driver, Loretta Taylor, could win the Driver of the Year award.

Commenting on Loretta Taylor’s nomination, MD of Oxford Bus Company, Phil Southall, said, ‘Loretta is a real credit to our company and her nomination will be no surprise to customers who’ve experienced her excellent service on our X90 route. She is a great role model for women looking to succeed in our industry and we’re really proud that she has been shortlisted for this prestigious award.’
