FlixBus expands into Denmark

Germany based FlixBus is to expand into Denmark. Together with Danish SME bus companies, the newly established ‘FlixBus Danmark ApS’ is launching a domestic network as well as new cross-border services to Scandinavia and the Continent. From spring 2017, new FlixBuses are planned to connect the country’s large and medium sized cities up to six times per day. In June 2015, FlixBus started a sales cooperation for cross-border services between the Danish capital and Berlin. In April 2016 the provider launched its first own line connecting Copenhagen, Kolding and Odense to Dutch cities. Within one year, FlixBus has tripled the volume of passengers on these international connections.

FlixBus Vice President International Business, Max Zeumer, said, ‘We want to offer green and smart mobility all over Denmark. From spring 2017, the first Danish FlixBuses are going to run on high-frequency connections between all major cities. Together with regional bus partners, we are going to establish Denmark’s best long distance coach network.’
