First GHA auction

Landwood Group has auctioned some of the now defunct GHA Coaches fleet. Amongst the vehicles listed on the online auction were Leyland Olympians and Scania double deckers, Volvo B7 and B10s, BMC school buses, Dennis Darts, Optare Solos and Mercedes-Benz minis and midis. Panel vans and workshop equipment were also available. Bidding closed on 25 August following viewing days at GHA Coaches premises in Ruabon, near Wrexham. Some of the newer BMCs (2004) went for around the £8,500 to £9,500 mark. The oldest Leyland Olympians fetched around £1,500 whilst early model Optare Solos made £2,700 to £3,000. A notable sale was a 2009 Optare Versa, which sold for £35,100, whilst a Volvo B7RLE of similar age went for £36,700. (Prices exclude VAT and fees). A further online auction of vehicles from the operator’s fleet on behalf of finance houses was due to take place on 31 August 2016, this time carried out by AMS Auctions.
