Fiona is new First Glasgow MD

First Glasgow has appointed Fiona Kerr as its new MD. Fiona was formerly the Regional Finance Director for FirstGroup’s Scottish bus operations, a post she has held since 2010. She began her career with PwC in Glasgow, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant before joining its corporate finance team. She later moved to John Menzies Plc as Group Financial Controller. First Glasgow has also confirmed that Kenny Dickson, previously the company’s Engineering Compliance Manager, has been promoted to Engineering Director.

Fiona said, ‘I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead First Glasgow and I’m looking forward to building upon the investment and hard work that have seen our services improve over the last year in particular. My priority is to encourage more people to use our buses. We’ve invested almost £25m in 151 brand new buses in the last 12 months alone, and have successfully introduced a brand new network, simpliCITY, that is providing our customers with better, more frequent bus services. Going forward we’ll be increasingly customer focused as we make our services even more attractive to persuade more people to travel by bus.’
