Eight Tourliners join Heyfordian’s fleet

Heyfordian has added eight new NEOPLAN Tourliners into its fleet. The Bicester based operator has taken four 13.26m Tourliner Select Plus variants and four 13.8m Select Plus models. They will be used for long distance tour work and other private hire contracts throughout the UK and western Europe. The 13.26m versions have 55 seats, while the 13.8m models have 61 seats. They both feature MAN Euro 6c 2.4litre 460bhp engines matched to a ZF AS Tronic gearbox, as well as a DVD, twin monitors, alloy wheels and an eight camera CCTV system. For safety, they have MAN EfficientCruise cruise control and MAN EfficientRoll technology.

General Manager, Steve Smith, said: “I spent considerable time researching which vehicles we wanted to go with and MAN met our requirements in terms of the drive train and the NEOPLAN bodies. They are our preferred marque for our future vehicle replacement programme and we certainly see MAN as our primary drive train for our top-end fleet. There are 82 vehicles in our fleet in total, eight of them the new NEOPLANs and we also have a Beulas double-decker and two 74-seater Mobipeople coaches which are based on MAN chassis. Future orders for the year include an additional Beulas MAN double-decker and two Beulas MAN coaches.”

MAN Bus & Coach supplied the vehicles.
