Ulrich Bastert, Head of Marketing, Sales and Services Mercedes-Benz Trucks, is to swap roles with Till Oberwörder, Head of Marketing, Sales and After Sales Daimler Buses. The change is effective from 1 July 2015. Ulrich joined the Group in 1985 and has held various management positions in sales and marketing for commercial vehicles. He has extensive international management experience in marketing, sales and after sales. Till joined the company in 1998 and has wide-ranging management experience in sales, marketing, market management and after sales in the commercial vehicles division.
Head of Daimler Buses, Hartmut Schick, said, ‘Till Oberwörder is a proven expert in commercial vehicle sales and marketing. In his three years at EvoBus he has played a major role in ensuring successful sales at Setra and Mercedes-Benz – and in the division’s turnaround as well. Till Oberwörder has also successfully prepared Daimler Buses’ global Sales and After Sales organisation for the future. His international experience in bus and truck sales and marketing makes him an ideal candidate for continuing his predecessor’s successful work.’
