CPT increases voice in Europe

In recognition of the importance the EU plays in the day to day operations of its members, the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT), has enhanced its voice in Europe with Paul White appointed Director of Government Relations, Europe. Paul will combine this new role with his existing position as Communications Manager, CPT Scotland. David Watson, former Director of Government Relations, Europe, will act as additional support in a consultancy role on a range of European issues. Paul and David take up their new roles on 1 June 2014. The organisation believes these appointments, together with CPT’s Director of Policy Development, Steven Salmon’s, role as President of the IRU’s Social Affairs Commission, gives it a ‘commanding presence’ in Europe, ensuring its members have ‘effective and high level representation’.
