CILT produces school materials

In collaboration with the Geographical Association, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT) has produced a suite of transport and logistics resources for use in schools and educational environments. The eight lesson plans are designed to raise the profile of the transport profession and the opportunities available. The resources are intended to develop greater geographical knowledge and understanding and encourage students to apply this knowledge in real world contexts.

Chief Executive, CILT, Kevin Richardson FCILT, said, ‘Working with our partners, the Geographical Association, we are pleased to be able to offer these resources to schools and the education sector. These resources will enable us to promote the vast and varied opportunities available in the logistics and transport profession to the younger generation and encourage more young people to choose a career in logistics and transport.’
