Chris Wise joins Wrightbus

Former Optare Director, Chris Wise, has joined Wright Customcare as National Parts Manager for the UK. In his new role with the Irish bus manufacturer, Chris will be reporting into Managing Director – Sales and Customcare for Wrightbus, Ian Downie. As a key member of the aftersales team, he will use his extensive industry expertise to deal directly with customers, assisting them with parts requirements and providing a link back to the factory regarding aftermarket development opportunities.

He has 40 years of experience in the bus and coach industry, beginning his career as an apprentice at Leyland Bus. A significant part of his career was spent with Optare UK, where he was a Design Engineer before moving into sales, where he became Bus Sales Manager and then Sales Director. He completed his 28 years with the company as Commercial Director in 2013. Chris spent the last year as Commercial Director at Isringhausen GB before making the move to Wrightbus.

Chris said, ‘I have always admired Wrights Group as an organisation which is at the forefront of cutting edge bus technology. This move marks the next phase in my career and I am excited to be part of the company as they continue to strengthen their aftersales offerings in support of their ever growing product range.’
